Create a press event that is as memorable and cutting edge as the Gorilla Glass 5 product to garner the attention of international tech media and device partners

Combine traditional styling with innovative technology to reinforce the scientific nature and personality of the brand.  Create an inviting and upscale environment that is both memorable and engaging to event guests.

Execution

  • Host the event at an actual Corning lab facility
  • Provide a pop-up environment that boasts elements from the the Gorilla Glass 5 launch campaign including reflective glass surfaces, lab elements (beakers), and green plant accents
  • We conveyed a ‘straight from the lab’ look and feel including a professional demonstrator performing scientific demos using glass and fire
  • Guests followed directional gorilla footprints to tour through both the laboratory and the press conference area
  • Actual presentation room designed to host, not only engage the actual event guests, but virtually 100’s of international attendees tuning in for the event

Results

  • Corning reported that it was one of the most well-received and successful product launch events ever
  • Overall PR reach was beyond 400MM impressions (global)
  • Resulted in Eventive handling Corning’s launch of Gorilla Glass 6
